There is a unique festival where “somen noodles” fly in the air.
The island is made up of coral reefs, and its area is increasing every year.
It’s such a happy island with a quite unique character.

世”界”が”喜”ぶと書く「喜界島」は、鹿児島県にある奄美群島の内の1つ。

素麺が宙を舞う不思議なお祭りがあったり、
珊瑚礁で出来た島なので毎年島の面積が増していっているなど、
ちょっと変わったハッピーな島。
